Journal Entry 3(Chapter Three)-Ziomara Aguilar
In the third chapter, scientists are becoming more aware of extinction. Theories are being made that can be divided into two different categories; uniformitarianism and catastrophism. Uniformitarianism is the theory that Earth's geological history has continuously and uniformly changed over a long period of time. Catastrophism is the theory that Earth was changed suddenly as a result of a sudden global catastrophe. The theme that can be applied is, science is a process, and science is continuously changing the way we understand the world.
